It’s a good time for all the cutting and trimming to be done in the garden. With golden autumn and rays of sunshine we’re set for a success~

Cutting and trimming is usually done with the plant’s health in mind, but can also be done for pure aesthetics✨

Mind that it’s good to let trees and bushes finish producing fruit first unless a specific part of the plant is attacked and we have to act fast ⚔️ The most important thing however, is that the wounds on the trees and bushes have the time to close up and heal before winter, to prevent from any unnecessary damage. It’s also good to do it in dry weather, but it’s hard to control it! There’s no point stressing over it too much. Plants are stronger than we think 😉

There’s also something we could still do this year for next year, which is set up the wood to dry!☀️

While smaller twigs can be cut in a machine, it’s really worth saving logs and bigger branches to use as a firewood on our adventures :3

A general rule as to how to store wood is to keep it off the ground to keep it from termites and other nasty creatures, but more importantly to prevent moisture from the ground getting in 🙂 Nobody wants mould. Bleh.

I don’t really have much wood, so I store it on a small crate under a roof. It doesn’t have to be inside or anything, but it’s good to have a bit of a shelter from colds and rains~ keep it cosy🌲

And so we’re ready to wait! ^^

For a year or more 😂

Oh well

See ya~✨💛
